I’m a business intelligence manager and the creator of Operation InSIGHT™. My focus is the connection between the information an organization produces and the confidence people have in using it.
Conflicting definitions, inherited reporting assumptions, duplicated work, and unclear ownership can persist even when teams are capable and reports keep running. Addressing those issues takes more than a new dashboard.
Operation InSIGHT gives that work a continuous structure: inspect how the system works, identify barriers, and refine improvements with validation and ownership. These activities remain connected throughout the work.
Each engagement or improvement effort has an agreed scope, deliverables, and completion criteria. Completing that effort does not end the methodology: ongoing review sustains the changes and informs the next priorities.
Start with the business question and the people using the intelligence. Examine the existing environment before recommending changes.
Connect observations to evidence, distinguish symptoms from causes, and make assumptions open to challenge.
Give improvements clear owners, usable documentation, validation, and a practical way to review them over time.
My work has included investigating historical contract classification, examining fragmented reporting logic, and improving how business information is presented and used. These examples inform the methodology and the questions it asks.
You don’t need to arrive with a tool choice or a finished diagnosis. A business question, a recurring frustration, or a loss of confidence is a useful starting point.
